14k Gold Fill

I use 14k gold fill for clasps, chains, jump rings, and select charms.  Gold fill is not to be confused with gold plated.  Gold fill is made by mixing solid gold with other alloy metals.  It wears like solid gold because its outer surface is solid gold.  The gold does not chip or flake off.  Gold filled jewelry will last for many years of wear when taken cared of properly and is a fantastic and affordable alternative to solid gold.

Gold Plated

Gold plated pieces and findings are made of a base metal plated in a coating of gold.

Argentium Silver

"Argentium's 935 and 960 grades set new purity standards for silver. Argentium is always purer than traditional sterling silver. Argentium silver is brighter than platinum, white gold and traditional sterling. It is the whitest of them all. Argentium silver is low maintenance, easy to care for and simple to clean." Best of all: argentium silver is extremely tarnish resistant! Taken from: http://www.argentiumsilver.com.

Sterling Silver

Sterling silver is an alloy of silver containing 92.5% by mass of silver and 7.5% by mass of other metals, usually copper. The sterling silver standard has a minimum millesimal fineness of 925.

Vermeil

Vermeil items are made of a sterling silver base plated in gold.

Druzy stones

Druzy stones are very unique in size, shape, and color due to the nature of the crystals. Each stone is one-of-a-kind and no two are ever exactly the same. All druzy stones available here are authentic druzy stones, not to be confused with artifical man-made "druzy" stones that are made of acrylic/plastic. Druzy stones are naturally occurring and may have their natural color, or they may be dyed to enhance the color. They sparkle and shine beautifully and are the latest trend in jewelry.

Care

To best preserve your jewelry, please avoid harsh chemical cleaners.  For the druzy jewelry, wash the stones using only a mild soap and water.   Remove jewelry prior to swimming, exercising, and bathing, and avoid contact with water.  Put on jewelry AFTER applying products such as hairspray, perfume, and lotions.  Store your jewelry carefully away from moisture.
